The royal family is never devoid of newer twists and turns. While the cancer diagnosis of both King Charles and Kate Middleton has come as a heavy blow to the British royal family, their dented relationship with the estranged Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle continues to be another issue of concern.
Many had hoped that the monarch’s health scare would bring both him and his other son Prince William closer to Prince Harry. However, that still seems to be a far-fetched dream as a recent report suggested that the monarch has no time to even see Prince Harry when he visits London this week. In another development, reports suggest that Prince William is “jealous” of his brother Prince Harry’s success amid the feud. Here’s what he thinks.

Sources Claim Prince William Is Jealous As Prince Harry Continues To Shine
Prince William and Prince Harry’s relationship has been dented for a while now, and though there are very feeble hopes of their reconciliation, the feud continues. According to some new details of their complex dynamic in Us Weekly‘s cover story, some sources have suggested the lingering tension between the two brothers is still there.
According to an exclusive source, Prince William even harbors a degree of envy towards Harry’s perceived freedom. “William is a bit envious of [his brother’s] freedoms,” the source was quoted as saying.
Prince Harry has carved out a new life for himself, that is far from the confines of royal duties. After relocating to California with Meghan Markle and their children, Harry has been residing in a lavish $14 million estate in Montecito with his family. The distance between their home from the Buckingham Palace is also symbolic of the distances between the two families.

Royal Expert And Journalist Also Think Prince William Is Surprised By Prince Harry’s Success
Royal historian Ed Owens also agreed with the source claiming a feeling of envy in Prince William’s heart. The writer noted that Prince Harry has managed to do some remarkable things, adding that the Invictus Games “now has international presences, and I think that international stage is something both brothers are clearly vying for”.
“That international limelight really sets Harry’s work apart from other members of the royal family,” the writer added.
British journalist Robert Jobson is also of the same belief. The journalist contended that Prince William was caught off guard with Harry’s success with the Invictus Games. “I think there was a degree of jealousy about how well it had gone,” Jobson said on an ABC News program in February.
“I do think that William was surprised how much this had been such a success and how much money was being thrown into it and how many governments were getting involved,” he added.
Prince Harry himself has mentioned having a competitive dynamic with his “archnemesis” brother in his controversial memoir ‘Spare’. “There has always been this competition between us, weirdly,” Harry reiterated during an interview with Good Morning America in January 2023.
