Musk said in an email titled “To be crystal clear” that “Everyone at Tesla is obligated to spend a minimum of 40 hours in the office each week.” Musk made this statement in relation to Tesla employees.
Despite the fact that this could seem to be a bold move on Musk’s behalf, the truth is that it is not at all out of character for him. He has a track record of making difficult choices, such as terminating the employment of thousands of people while serving as CEO of SpaceX, in order to advance the interests of the firm that he created.
In this instance, it seems as if he is of the opinion that going back to work would be beneficial in resolving some of the fundamental problems at Tesla.
