Why Steven Spielberg Got Megan Fox Fired From ‘Transformers’ Is Unbelievable

Megan Fox is well-known for having a personality that is quite forthright. The ‘Transformers’ star has never been one to hold back from expressing her opinions, regardless of the possible fallout. As a result of this, the actress has a history of making provocative remarks. She once did so regarding the film director and producer Michael Bay. The comments led to her being sacked from his film shortly after they were made.

According to Bay, Steven Spielberg was the one who asked for Megan to be fired from the ‘Transformers’ franchise. This led to her exiting it. But the question remains: why did Spielberg insist that she be fired? Keep reading to find out.

Fox described how frustrated she became with Michael Bay’s misogynistic instructions in an interview with Wonderland Magazine. The actress would frequently consult him for directing pointers while working on ‘Transformers’.

When she asked him for an answer, all he ever said was, “Be hot.” In 2009, she stated, “Those are literally his directions sometimes. ‘Be Hot.’ I’ve had that note on set before. ‘Mike,’ I’ll say, ‘Who am I talking to? Where am I supposed to be looking at?’ And he responds, ‘Just be sexy.’ I get mad when people talk to me like that. Then again, audiences don’t come to Transformers to see us. They’re there to see the devastation and the explosions.”

Fox made a remark in the year 2020, after more than a decade had passed, about how she was practically at the forefront of the #MeToo movement. Unfortunately, as a result of it, she was subjected to harsh humiliation.

Fox stated these things in an interview with Entertainment Tonight: “I was sort of in front of the #MeToo movement before the #MeToo movement happened. I was speaking out and saying, ‘Hey, these things are happening to me, and they’re not ok.’ And everyone was like, ‘F*** you, we don’t care, you deserve it because of how you talk, because of how you look, how you dress, because of the jokes you make.”

Megan’s “Hitler” Comment Made Steven Spielberg Kick Her Out Of ‘Transformers’ Franchise

In the ‘Transformers’ franchise, Steven Spielberg is the person responsible, according to Michael Bay, for the termination of Fox’s contract. In an edition of GQ published in 2011, Bay stated that the actor was dismissed for saying that he was “Hitler.”

She was quoted in Wonderland Magazine as saying, “He’s like Napoleon, and he wants to create this insane, infamous mad-man reputation. He wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he’s a nightmare to work for.” And, in his response, Spielberg stated, “Fire her right now.”

But thankfully, Bay wasn’t affected negatively by Fox’s remarks. Instead, he likens it to the connection that one has with one’s “family,” in which one may “say unpleasant things” and then “go on.”
