Megan Fox is focusing on her body and well being like never before. The 36-year-old actress and model is known for her strict diet courtesy of personal trainer Harley Pasternak. While the no-alcohol policy partially rests on health-related reasons, it also has another story to it.

Flashback To The 2009 ‘Golden Globe Awards’
During a video interview with Who What Where the actress opened up about a much mortifying memory from the 2009 Golden Globe Awards. The memory ignites shame to the model, and was a major reason for giving up on alcohol and drinking all together. Megan said, โI was sat at a table with Blake Lively and all 3 Jonas Brothers. At the Golden Globes, they always put those giant bottles of Moรซt & Chandon champagne on the table. I went throughย multiple glasses of that.”ย Moรซt & Chandon has been the official drink of the Golden Globe awards for 30 years now.
The alcohol certainly overtook the actress’ consciousness, which resulted in, what Fox said, “belligerent” behaviour, leading to her saying “a bunch of (expletive) I shouldnโt have said on the red carpet.” She further added, “Now I donโt drink, and this is why. I got in a lot of trouble for whatever I said on the red carpet at this event. I donโt remember why but I know that I did. You can look that up.”
Megan made offensive and problematic comments on the red carpet in front of the press. A footage from TMZย reveals Megan using an offensive term for transgender people followed by her confessions of feeling “painfully insecure” that night. She was even asked about her then-fiance, Brian Austin Green, to which Megan replied, “He doesn’t want to be here. He doesn’t want to be my date. He’s a man. He has an ego. I think he’s probably working on music. I don’t think he cares.”

Recently, talking withย Glamour, Megan shared that she has not sipped a drink in 10 years. She said, “I’m always completely sober. I don’t even drink a glass of wine. I don’t ever smoke. I don’t drink coffee. I’m super strict with my diet and I never deviate.”
The actress also shared a snippet from Costa Rica which influenced her a lot. “When I was in Costa Rica, somebody described the purpose of alcohol with plant medicine: you use alcohol to extract the essence of a plant. And I thought, ‘That is exactly how alcohol makes me feel. As though it is extracting my essence.’ Which is why I have avoided it for so long.”
Megan Fox is very attentive of what she gives to her body. The actress is successfully thriving on a healthy lifestyle, avoiding all kinds of self-destructive substances, and is focused on self-care.
