Russell Crowe has finally addressed the rumors about his future with longtime partner Britney Theriot, and he did it on national television.
After months of speculation about a possible engagement and wedding, the Oscar-winning actor made his position crystal clear while also sharing why he believes their relationship works so well without marriage.
Why Russell Crowe Prefers Their Relationship As It Is
Russell Crowe appeared on national TV to respond to ongoing reports claiming that he and Britney Theriot were planning to tie the knot. The actor did not leave any room for doubt as he firmly dismissed the rumors.

“All these reports keep coming out saying that Britney and I are engaged, and I’m going to get married again. No.” Crowe explained that he has no interest in getting married again because he already feels fulfilled in his current relationship.
He said, “My life is so joyous and happy at the moment. Why would I ruin that with a wedding?“.
The actor also reflected on his past marriage and admitted that the experience changed how he feels about weddings today. Rather than rushing into another marriage, he believes his current relationship already gives him everything he wants.
“I’ve been married once. You know, I know how it can go and where it can go. So I don’t need to go to that place“.
Crowe added that staying boyfriend and girlfriend keeps a special spark alive between them. He said, “How romantic it is to be boyfriend and girlfriend wherever you are in the world… having that slight thing that means you got to keep respecting each other and waking up with a smile“.
Crowe Says Their Life Together Is Already Complete
Crowe also spoke warmly about the life he shares with Theriot and described their relationship as a genuine partnership. According to the actor, they enjoy spending their time together and have built a happy life.

“We do everything together. Very happy man, you know? It’s a very, very positive life, but no, I’m not going to get married again“.
He wrapped up his thoughts by repeating that another trip down the aisle simply is not part of his plans. “Doing it once is cool, great, you know… but I don’t want to do it again“.
With those remarks, Crowe has put the engagement rumors to rest as of now and made it clear that he is perfectly happy with the relationship exactly as it is.
Crowe and Theriot have been in a committed relationship since 2020 and have shared several memorable trips together. In July 2022, the actor posted a selfie on Twitter featuring himself, Theriot, his two sons, and their friends.
Sharing the photo, Crowe joked, “Taking the kids to see my old office,” as the group visited famous landmarks including the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and the Sistine Chapel.
