Selena Gomez gained prominence for her role as Alex Russo in Disney Channel’s successful television series ‘Wizards of Waverly Place.’ It ran between 2007 to 2012 after that the cast and crew went on with their lives.
In the recent episode of the Wizards of Waverly Pod with Jennifer Stone and David DeLuise, the 30-year-old talked about her biggest mistake. She said it was “not staying in touch” with her co-stars.
“I felt ashamed of the decisions that I made,” she added. “I didn’t want you guys to see me in the state that I was in because a, you would have told me the truth which terrifies me, and b, I didn’t want to let you down.”
During the filming of the series, Gomez said she felt safe and “that’s a really hard thing for me to feel and I know that you guys love me for me. … You guys genuinely loved me and that’s all I could have asked for. The unconditional trust and bond we had I miss so much.”

Disney Forbad Her From Using A Phrase That Time
The series also starred actors like Stone, DeLuise, David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, and Maria Canals-Barrera among other members. Around that time, Disney forbade her from using a popular phrase.
She said the studio “explicitly told” her to not use “What the hell?” Gomez explained, “I wasn’t a wild child by any means, but I was on Disney, so I had to make sure not to say ‘What the hell?’ in front of anyone”.
While playing the lead, the singer said that she was putting pressure on herself to be the best role model for young girls. Over the years, she has said that being honest is the best role model anyone can be.
