Hollywood has been no stranger to sudden and shocking deaths of some of the biggest stars. These just remind us about the mortality of people we often mistake as untouchables because of their fame and popularity. But most stars are well aware of the fragility of life — and Rod Stewart just reiterated it during a recent interview.
The 79-year-old British rock and pop singer, known for his raspy voice, is among the best-selling music artists of his time. After having a great career, the singer still possesses a zeal for life and believes in living it fully, though with precautions, as he is well aware that his “days are numbered“. Here’s what he said.

Rod Stewart Wants To Enjoy His Life Fully Before He Dies
In a recent interview with The Sun, Rod Stewart talked about being in the final stages of his life and how he plans on spending them. “I’m aware my days are numbered, but I’ve got no fear,” the ‘The Maggie May’ singer said. He is currently living in his Las Vegas home, and is scheduled to do a world tour in February 2025.
“We have all got to pass on at some point, so we are all in the same basket,” the British singer further said. “I am going to be enjoying myself for these last few years as much as I can… I say few — probably another 15. I can do that easy mate, easy.”
Rod Stewart also admitted that he doesn’t party as hard as he did earlier due to his old age. He explained, “Nowadays I have to protect my voice before and after every show.” He added, “The older you get, the more you have to do that. Water has a hell of a lot to do with it. But no, you think I just have water on my rider?”

Rod Stewart Never Misses A Chance to Have Fun
Rod Stewart further said that at the end of the day, he makes sure to have some good time. “You’re talking to Rod Stewart here, mate. We go mad after every show. There are 13 of us, six women, really great musicians, and I make them drink,” Stewart said. “We absolutely love it.”
“I am just enjoying the moment. I will continue to do so. I’m pretty sure if I said I wanted to come back they would have me but there is plenty of time for that. I absolutely love the place,” he said. Aside from the scheduled performances, Stewart plans to tour the United Kingdom with Jools Holland.
Stewart is also thriving in his personal life. He’s married to Penny Lancaster since 2007. Speaking about it, the singer added, “I am an old romantic. We enjoy candle-lit dinners and we are still very much in love with each other.”
