‘Peaky Blinders’ is a well-acclaimed show that quickly became popular among audiences worldwide. Not just fans, but several celebrities including Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Barack Obama among others have openly talked about their love for the show.
However, it was Snoop Dogg’s comment that changed the perspective of the show’s creator, Steven Knight. The rapper recently met with Knight and ended up totally altering his view about the drama he had created as a love letter to his native place, Birmingham, a city in the middle of The UK.

Snoop Dogg Gave A New Perspective To Steven Knight About ‘Peaky Blinders‘
Steven Knight was already aware of how big of a success his show ‘Peaky Blinders‘ was, but it was Snoop Dogg who evolved his thinking about the show that brought him to the universal nature of the show “with people from Eastern Europe to Buenos Aires getting it and feeling the same thing.”
Knight told BBC Desert Island Discs that Snoop “reminded him of how he got into gang culture”. “It was all about a family keeping you in and escaping from family to do the bad stuff, and then the family relocating their emotions and loyalties to follow you and then escaping again,” he said.
He continued, “It made me understand that there is something in Peaky that is pretty universal.” Knight further described Snoop as a kind person. “He was such a great bloke. He was so nice to talk to,” he added.
The US rapper was busy with the rituals of the Paris Olympics and was also seen making new mates there as he was taught swimming by Micheal Phelps himself and dancing with a horse at a dress competition.

Film Version Of ‘Peaky Blinders’ Is On Its Way
The movie version of ‘Peaky Blinders’ is on its way with Cillian Murphy reprising the role of Tommy Shelby. Steven Knight also recently opened a TV and film studio in his native Birmingham, where the ‘Peaky Blinders’ film will be made.
Speaking about it, Knight told BBC, “It’s a fitting end to this part of the story, and we’ve got a fantastic cast. I want it to be a sort of legacy for Birmingham, but also a place where people come who want to do different stuff, brave stuff, bold stuff.”
‘Peaky Blinders’ was inspired by Knight’s childhood in Birmingham, where his mother worked for local bookmarks at a time when betting was illegal. The drama was based on the local gangsters called Peaky Blinders on account of the way they wore their peaked caps.
