Steve Harvey, the charming 66-year-old television host, got emotional while talking about his wife during TheGrio Awards over the weekend. He gave the speech while receiving The Television Icon Award. He thanked his wife of 16 years, Marjorie Harvey, sitting in the audience.
In a heartfelt acceptance speech, the seasoned comedian said, “That woman right there been down with me like four flat tires.” He did not keep it subtle. He was all there — like he always is, be it with his comedy or his love.
Steve Harvey Attributes His Success To Wife Marjorie
“85% of what y’all up here [are] talking to me about happened after I married that girl right there,” he said, attributing his success to Marjorie. The audience, also warmed by Steve’s gesture, welcomed his appreciation with gasps and chuckles, as the camera turned its focus to Harvey’s wife seated in the audience.
Harvey, a seven-time Emmy winner, asserted how his relationship with his wife has been robust for the past 18 years and is still going strong. Closing his speech, Steve addressed his wife directly: “I love you, Marjorie Harvey. I appreciate you riding with me.”

Harvey Trashes Cheating Rumors
He also addressed the recent rumors about Marjorie cheating on him. The couple had officially discarded the rumors that were floating. “We’ve been 18 years strong…I don’t know what y’all been trying to do, but we covered, though,” he said.
The couple recently celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary over the summer at Lake Como in complementary ensembles. While Marjorie rocked a white satin gown from Saint Laurent, Steve was donned in gold and white from head to toe.
