When Sarah Snook Was “Young And Naive”
Sarah Snook opened up to ‘The Sunday Times‘ about a challenging experience from her early career. The Emmy winner recalled the time when a producer berated her on set for simply enjoying a piece of chocolate cake. The producer later told her, “We don’t really want you because you’re a nobody, but the director and the writer think you’re good for the role.” She emphasized the impact such occurrences can have on aspiring talents.
Snook admits to feeling powerless in the face of authority. During an interview with BBC Today, Snook shared she felt “too young and naive” during the incident. She reflected on the vulnerability of young actors trying to navigate their way through the industry. The actress now takes pride in her growth saying, “I eat whatever I want, it’s my own body and my own choice.”

Sarah Snook Stands By Margot Robbie Amid Oscars Controversy
Aside from discussing her own experiences, Snook took a moment to share her views on the Oscars snub of this year. She expressed disappointment over fellow Australian actress Margot Robbie not getting her Best Actress nomination for ‘Barbie’. Despite the setback, Snook shared her pride in Robbie’s performance and success, showcasing solidarity among industry peers.
“I was so proud of Margot when I saw the film,” said Snook. “It was my first outing as a new mum, I was away from my daughter for three hours and spent the entire time just crying and not just because of the hormones. I am disappointed for her but proud as a fellow Aussie.”
Sarah Snook is currently in London promoting her West End play, ‘The Picture of Dorian Gray’. In this unique theatrical endeavor, Snook takes on the challenge of playing all 26 characters, with the majority being male. Expressing her love for live theater, she stated, “There is nothing like live theater… it’s for the soul.”
