Taylor Swift and Jessica Chastain have been friends for more than a decade. In an episode of The Tonight Show, Chastain treated fans to a little memory of their friendship and it is very heartening. She recalled the time Swift helped her to move on from her breakup by gifting her a personalized breakup playlist.
The ‘Cruel Summer’ singer certainly knows music and its power, especially in matters of heartbreak. After Chastain broke up with her then-boyfriend, Taylor was there for her. She told Jimmy Fallon, “It was like the first year I was invited to the Met Ball, first year I had movies out, and we were both sitting next to each other. We were like next to Ryan Murphy, who was just started to become successful with all his TV shows. And she was so sweet. I just went through a breakup and I was talking to her about that. And, you know, we went and danced together. It was such a fun night.”
The very next morning, Swift sent her an email from iTunes which Chastain initially took as an album release, but it was solely for her. “She had made me a breakup playlist that she sent me. Isn’t that the sweetest thing? … And here I thought it was like a Taylor Swift advertisement. And I was like, wait a minute? She curated all these breakup songs to send me to help me get through my breakup,” Chastain recalled.

Jessica Chastain And Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo’s Marriage
While Jessica Chastain did not reveal the identity of the boyfriend she had broken up with when Taylor Swift came to her rescue, she has dated many famous men in Hollywood, including Tom Hiddleston.
However, she found her ‘happily ever after’ with entrepreneur Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo. The two met in 2012 and tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony in Northern Italy in 2017. The couple has two kids.
In an interview with WSJ Magazine, the Zero Dark Thirty actress revealed that she never wanted to get married but her partner changed her views. She said, “When I first met my husband, he knew that marriage wasn’t something I was interested in. And then as we got to know each other, the idea of marriage shifted for me. There are some things worth celebrating — and he’s worth celebrating.”
She added, “I actually love being married. I never thought I would, but this is a spectacular human being, and I am celebrating that I get to share my life with him.”
