Joe Exotic Announces His 2024 Presidential Campaign
Joseph Allen Maldonado, or Joe Exotic, announced his 2024 Presidential campaign from behind bars. Again, we would like to stress that this is an actual announcement. Thanks to his Twitter account, the news is now public knowledge. He would like to clear the air regarding any confusion. “It’s official! “Yes, I know I am in Federal Prison, and you might think this is a joke, but it’s not. It is my Constitutional right to do this even from here,” he wrote. He blames Department Of Justice, PETA, and Carole Baskin for his imprisonment. He still maintains that he only put “crippled tigers to sleep in the most humane way possible.”

Why Is Joe Exotic Serving A Prison Sentence?
The world first heard of Joe Exotic through the Netflix docuseries ‘Tiger King.’ It focuses on the decades-long rivalry between Carole Baskin and Joe Exotic. In 2019, he was found guilty of the attempted murder of Carole Baskin and various animal abuse violations. He was charged with two counts of hiring killers to take Baskin’s life and found guilty on eight counts of forging records and nine additional counts of killing tigers and their illegal sale across the border.
Joe Exotic is serving his 21-year sentence in a federal prison in Atlanta. Diagnosed with prostate cancer, he refuses to take any treatment. Despite being in prison, he’s been the interest of two Louis Theroux documentaries, ‘America’s Most Dangerous Pets‘ (2011) and ‘Shooting Joe Exotic‘ (2021).
