Marvel Studios has launched many actors into stardom, has given second chances to the actors, and also have set up a promising future for a few actors in the industry. Robert Downey Jr. had one of Hollywood’s best comebacks when he played Iron Man and became the heart of the MCU.
Likewise, actors like Chris Hemsworth and Simu Liu became A-listers after playing MCU superheroes. And there are other celebrities who have given multiple blockbusters, yet they strive to be a part of a Marvel Universe.

10. Simon Pegg
Before casting Paul Rudd, MCU almost gave the role of Antman to Simon Pegg. And now no one can imagine playing Antman anyone better than Rudd. Pegg further expressed his desire to play the British version of Captain America, Captain Britain. Sadly, Pegg will have to fight with Henry Cavill for the role as the latter is way more deserving and experienced for the role.
9. Lana Condor
Known for her role in ‘To All the Boys‘ series, Lana Condor made her appearance in ‘X-men’ as Jubilee, although Jubliee was not given screen time. However, Condor has already expressed publicly she wants to return to playing Jubliee now that the character and the rest of the ‘X-Men’ are owned by Disney, and can be introduced into the MCU.
8. Jessica Chastain
The two-time academy winner initially dropped the role of a prominent character in ‘Doctor Strange’. Jessica Chastain then publically released a statement that she wants a more prominent role in the MCU. After the public tainting of Marvel because of Jonathan Major’s trial, bringing in someone like Jessica Chastain might help Marvel clear its name from the deep water.
7. Keanu Reeves
It is ambiguous that Marvel still has not cast Keanu Reeves. Reeves is a hit at the box office and has proven to be a superhero commodity in multiple films which is exactly what Marvel requires.
Sharing his interest in joining MCU the ‘Matrix’ actor said, “It would be an honor. There’s some really amazing directors, and visionaries, and they’re doing something no one’s ever really done. It’s special in that sense in terms of the scale, the ambition, the production. So it’d be cool to be a part of that.”
6. Matthew McConaughey
There has been a rumor going around that Matthew McConaughey will be joining the MCU. Previously McConaughey went on record revealing that he wanted to play the role of The Hulk and also turned down a role in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’ as it did clash with his interest in ‘The Dark Tower’.

5. Janelle Monáe
‘The Moonlight’ actor has publicly stated she wants to join the franchise, and possess the stylish individuality to represent the weather-controlling character, Storm. With the X-Men movie rights now under the MCU umbrella, it makes sense the studio will begin casting the actors who will portray the mutant team.
4. Timothée Chalamet
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Timothée Chalamet auditioned for the role of Spider-Man, which eventually went to Tom Holland. With his title as an Indie actor, fame from projects like ‘Dune’, and upcoming films like ‘Wonka’, it is the right time for Marvel to reel in Timothée Chalamet.
3. Adam Sandler
Before Bradley Cooper, Adam Sandler auditioned for the roles of Rocket and Groot in 2010. Later Cooper did a fantastic job giving life to Rocket Racoon in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ movies. However, Marvel is looking into Sadler’s availability for the role.
2. Emily Blunt
The British actress is known for her roles in ‘Devil Wears Prada’, ‘A Quiet Place’, and ‘Oppenheimer.’ According to sources, she could have taken on a very prominent role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She was in fact Marvel’s first pick for the portrayal of Black Widow. However, Blunt turned down the project because of a scheduling conflict with ‘Gulliver’s Travels’ in 2010.

During a recent interview with Screen Rant, the actor, who is a comic book fan himself, said he hopes Marvel Studios considers him for future ‘X-Men’ and ‘Fantastic Four’ projects. John Hamm was previously considered for the role of Mister Sinister in a scrapped ‘The New Mutants’ sequel, prior to Disney acquiring 20th Century Fox.
