Travis Kelce’s Teammate Rashee Rice Reveals Unspoken Rule Among His Teammates
Rashee Rice, a fellow team member of Kelce’s team Kansas City Chiefs, recently spilled the beans on why he won’t be posing for a photo with pop sensation Taylor Swift anytime soon. Speaking on Fubo Sports’ ‘Airing It Out‘ podcast, Rice revealed an unspoken rule among teammates about each other’s partners.
“I’ve seen her, but I didn’t go up to her like, ‘Can I get a picture?’ or nothing like that,” Rice said. “You know, those guys like Trav and Pat[rick Mahomes] they invite us out because they know that we are the only guys that see them every day and know and see them for who they really are not just like, ‘Bro you’re a superstar football player!’” he explained.
“It’s just Pat and it’s just Trav,” he said, indicating that Taylor is Kelce’s girlfriend first, and then a celebrity for him.
The 23-year-old rookie player said he “wouldn’t go up to another dude’s girl” and ask for a photo. And that is the same approach he has retained when it comes to Taylor Swift, despite her being a singing superstar.

Rashee Rice Gives A Shoutout To Taylor Swift For Her “Support” For His Team
However, he hinted at a potential exception. “Maybe if my girl was there, I would be like, ‘Can we get a picture with the girls together?’ or something,” he joked.
Though Rice does not know Taylor Swift personally, he said he is happy about the connection that his teammate shares with Swift. He also appreciated the “support” that Swift has time and again shown for the Chiefs since she started dating Kelce earlier this summer. “She brought a lot more fans to the team too,” he noted.
Rice’s interview was received really well by the Swifties on TikTok. The pop sensation’s fans on the social media platform showered Rice with praise for his respectful and sweet demeanor.
The Swift-Kelce power couple is reportedly planning to spend the holidays together in Kansas City, with Swift set to be a part of Kelce’s home games on Christmas Day and New Year’s Eve. Swift is currently on a break before her 2023 Eras Tour resumes in February, while her bond with Kelce is thriving.
