Trevor Noah became the perfect host for the White House Correspondents’ Dinner. He does so by skewering the present government with just the right amount of snark and elegance. He made fun of Pete Davidson, who was in attendance with his girlfriend Kim Kardashian, during his address on Saturday, April 30.
Trevor continued to mock the idea of organizing a huge indoor gathering in COVID-19 times. Trevor does so after taunting the crowd for showing up to the nation’s most prestigious superspreader event.

Trevor shares that since Dr. Fauci dropped out of the event, it was a sign of the event being a superspreader. Everything appeared to be in good humor. With celebrities like Pete, Kim, and Drew Barrymore, the producers of the White House Correspondents’ Dinner hoped to bring back the glamour of the occasion. The evening also featured pre-recorded skits by James Corden, presenter of the Late Late Show, and Billy Eichner, star of Billy on the Street. On Sunday, the “Nerd Prom” included an after-party thrown by Paramount Pictures and two brunches hosted by Politico and CNN.

According to Variety, the crew also roped in experienced Hollywood producer Bob Bain two months before the premiere. The Critics’ Choice Awards and the Primetime Creative Arts Emmy Awards were recently produced by Bain. Steven Portnoy is the current president of the White House Correspondents Association. Steven has shared that getting Bob Bain to produce the event will be a huge feat. This is because Bob has the capability to take this event to the next level. The team needs this as they break their own previous records.
The organizers don’t seem to mind if the Dinner became an annual red-carpet event. The organizers look forward to making the dinner similar to the Oscars or Grammys. Bob Bain shares that it would be his dream come true if everything goes well. He thinks that the best part will be that the people decide that this should be a network special at some time.
