But Welsh insists she’s “happy” for her ex. And no, it’s not one of those passive-aggressive “good for you” statements. Welsh genuinely seemed to gush over Dufrene.
She described him as a “very protective, hardworking, manly man.” She added, “He has always been a giver, so to have someone give to him, he deserves it. He is a very solid guy.”
It’s clear that Welsh knows Dufrene better than most. Welsh first dated Dufrene when they were teenagers, but they didn’t officially rekindle their romance until after he split from his first wife, Gina, with whom he shares 3 kids.
After his first marriage ended, Welsh and Dufrene began dating again in 2011. They got engaged in 2012 and were together until they finally called it quits last October, per the Daily Mail. Though she may not be walking down the aisle with him, Welsh is optimistic about his new life with Lana.
“He was used to bayou life and being out on the swamp. He is deserving of this blessing,” she commented, adding that she thinks he “needed to get out of his comfort zone.”

In typical Lana Del Rey fashion, it was an intimate ceremony attended by just a few family and friends. And yes, it happened just one month after they were spotted holding hands at the Reading Festival in England.
