Harry Styles has a newfound love for acting. The British singer made his foray into acting with the 2017 film’ Dunkirk‘ and has found a knack for it. He has now appeared in Olivia Wilde’s psychological drama ‘Don’t Worry Darling‘, a film that has been marred with controversies.
A video was making rounds on the internet where it appears that the 28-year-old artist is spitting on his co-star Chris Pine. Pine’s reps refuted the claims and now Styles has joked about the incident as he returned from the premiere to New York’s Madison Square Garden.

Harry Styles Jokes About Spitting On Chris Pine
‘Don’t Worry Darling‘ has been in the news lately for all the reasons. Amid all the rumored feuds, a video of Harry apparently spitting on Chris Pine went viral.
The Fine Line singer has returned from the Venice premiere to New York’s Madison Square Garden. According to a Variety report, on Wednesday, Harry joked about the spit-gate rumors.
“This is our tenth show at Madison Square Garden. It’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back in New York. I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine,” Styles says. “But fret not, we’re back!”
The film, which also stars Florence Pugh and Nick Kroll, premiered at the 79th Venice International Film Festival on September 5. It will release theatrically on September 23.

Video Of The Spit Gate Went Viral
After the video of Harry apparently spitting on Chris at the film’s premiere went viral, people started calling him out for his behavior. It was obviously not true.
Pine’s representatives quickly refuted the bizarre claim. The rep told a magazine, “This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation.”
The rep continued, “Just to be clear, Harry Styles did not spit on Chris Pine. There is nothing but respect between these two men, and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
Pine’s behavior throughout the festival gave fodder to people on the internet. The ‘Wonder Woman‘ actor was seen dissociating while Styles answered questions at an earlier press conference. There were earlier rumors of a rift between Wilde and Pugh on the film’s set.
