Aaron Taylor Johnson‘s marriage with Sam Taylor Johnson has often brought a lot of attention, mostly because of their age gap. The couple, who have been married since 2012, have a 23-year-old age gap. Sam, 57, met Aaron, 33 on the set of ‘Nowhere Boy’. Following that, they have been together since and have two daughters together.
The scrutiny they receive because of the decades-long age gap makes Sam uncomfortable, she admitted. “There are times where it’s uncomfortable,” Sam said, “Most of the time we zone it out and stay pretty private. We tend to retreat. Kids and school runs keep you pretty grounded.”
When asked if the difference affects her, she said, “It never does. I mean, it’s coming up now because you’re asking. And it comes up on the outside perspective of people who don’t know us, because I guess people will always…We’re a bit of an anomaly, but it’s that thing: after 14 years you just think, surely by now it doesn’t really matter? So, if you think of it in that way, then the age gap doesn’t really make any difference.”
Many have also criticized that Aaron was 18 when he met the 42-year-old Sam. She then had two daughters with her ex-husband, whom she separated from in 2008. The couple usually keeps their family private, which might be a result of the intense hate surrounding their relationship.

Aaron Taylor Johnson And Sam Taylor Johnson’s Relationship
As they met on the set of ‘Nowhere Boy‘ Sam was still married to husband Jay Jopling. They separated soon after and Aaron proposed to her a year later. It was pretty instant, as Sam recalled. She said, “And as soon as we finished, (the film) he told me he was going to marry me. We had never been on a date, or even kissed.”
Despite the struggles, their marriage has been going strong as ever, with their two daughters, Wylda Rae, now 13, and Romy Hero, now 12.
Currently, Aaron is in talks to be a part of the next James Bond film. Apart from that, Matthew Vaughn has recently confirmed that Aaron will return in ‘Kick-Ass’ reboot trilogy.
