King Charles has finally become the king after waiting for more than anyone else in British history. But he is talked about in the media for one other reason, his swollen hands.

In 2021, people noticed the swollen finger of the Queen’s son as he pulled a pint of beer in a photograph. In the past, Charles has taken a dig at himself saying that he has “sausage fingers”.

While it’s not confirmed, a report by Hello Magazine that the inflammation could be due to temporary fluid retention, or a sudden change in temperature to arthritis.

Arthritis affects the tissues and causes the joint lining to swell. It leads to several problems like pain, stiffness, and loss of function in the joint. These symptoms are mostly associated with psoriatic arthritis.

There is no particular cure for arthritis, though medication and physiotherapy help in subduing the symptoms. Several people have noticed that Charles’ hands appear particularly swollen when he is traveling to warm places.
