Emma Watson To Finish Her Master’s Degree
Emma Watson will be going to Oxford University this year in September to finish her Master’s degree. In an interview with the Financial Times, the ‘Noah’ actress revealed that she has enrolled in MA in Creative Writing course.
It will mark a decade since she finished her last degree at the university. During the 2011-2012 academic year, Watson attended Oxford as part of the Visiting Student Programme. Around that time, she had postponed her degree at Brown University.
This was mainly because of her tight filming schedule for the ‘Harry Potter‘ films. She finally graduated in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in English literature. Over the years, she has frequently visited the University.
For three years, starting in 2016, she was a visiting fellow at Oxford. In 2019, she was made an Associate Fellow. Watson has been vocal about the importance of education for everyone, especially women.

Watson Explains Her Break From Acting
Watson’s last film role was the 2019 period romance drama ‘Little Women.’ In the same interview, the young actress explained the reason behind her break from acting. “The thing I found really hard was that I had to go out and sell something that I really didn’t have very much control over,” she said.
She further said, “It was very difficult to have to be the face and the spokesperson for things where I didn’t get to be involved in the process.” Watson stated that she “felt a bit caged.”
“I was held accountable in a way that I began to find really frustrating, because I didn’t have a voice, I didn’t have a say“, she added. She has said that she will return to acting as she is waiting for the right offer.
