There are strong charges being pressed against the actor Danny Masterson, as three women have accused him of raping them. The incidents that led to the case happened between 2001 and 2003 at his Hollywood home. The place had been functioning as a social hub when he was at the height of his fame.
The women were drunk and passed out after a couple of drinks and had been tossed into his hot tub. One woman had regained consciousness to see the actor having sex with her. While another woke up to find him on top of her. Now the event happened about two decades ago, but it came to the limelight recently. Obviously, there are some disturbing elements connected to the case.
Who Is Danny Masterson?
The actor is famous for his roles as Steven Hyde in ‘That ’70s Show‘, Milo Foster in ‘Men at Work‘ and Jameson “Rooster” Bennett in ‘The Ranch‘. Masterson started working as a child model at the age of four and was featured in magazine articles as well as television commercials. Masterson started DJing as a hobby in 1997, which soon became a side business. Being a rock and hip-hop fan, the actor owns clubs, a lounge, and a bar in Park City, Utah. The actor is a Scientologist. He married Bijou Philips in October 2011 after dating her for about eight years. They have one daughter who was born in February 2014.
The sexual assault allegations have been haunting Masterson since 2017 with a case filed at the Los Angeles Police Department. Due to these accusations, the actor was fired by Netflix from the comedy series ‘The Ranch‘. He was also dropped off as a client by United Talent Agency. In 2019, again four women filed a lawsuit against Danny Masterson and the Church of Scientology for stalking and harassment. Altogether, the actor is huddled up in a bitter mess.

How Is Scientology Involved In The Trial?
The 46-year-old had pleaded not guilty to the three counts of forcible rape allegations against him from two decades ago. As the trial began, the defense attorney, Cohen had asked not to consider Masterson’s affiliations with the Church of Scientology and its relationship to the case. But the Church had been the sole reason why the women-all former members of the Church had waited so long to report the incident. When the women had earlier reported it to the Church they were warned of being ostracized by close friends and even family. These women also faced threats, and online harassment and were being stalked as they went on to file police complaints. If convicted, Masterson could face up to 45 years of prison.
