American talk show host Oprah Winfrey has been in Hollywood since the 1970s. She commenced her career with local media where she was the youngest anchor. She was also the first black woman to be in that position. However, the achievement did not last long as she was removed. The show became a major hit and Oprah gained tremendous fame.

Who Is Stedman Graham?
Oprah Winfrey does not have a husband. However, Stedman Graham has been her partner for 36 years now. Having spent more than three decades together, Graham has also been in news quite a few times. However, Graham is not a part of the entertainment industry. He is 71 years old and a businessman by profession. He is also a renowned author. He has authored around 15 books on business and self-help. Interesting pair, Isn’t it?
Graham was born in Middle Township, New Jersey, on March 6, 1951, to Mary Jacobs Graham and Stedman Graham Sr. He has six siblings. Talking about his education, Graham has a bachelor’s in social work from Hardin-Simmons and a master’s in teaching from Ball State. Graham came to North Carolina to work in PR which also helped the brewing of his love story with Oprah.
Graham worked with Maya Angelou and Winnie Mandela at B & C Associates. He founded Chicago’s AAD (previously Athletes Against Drugs), a non-profit organization. His NGO provided $1.5 million in scholarships since 1985. It is organized for athletes to educate kids about drug usage. Not only this, he founded Chicago’s S. Graham & Associates in 1988. Apart from being a businessman and author, Graham is also a teacher.

How Did Oprah Winfrey And Stedman Graham Meet?
As we all know, Oprah’s famous talk show commenced in 1986. But it was also the year when she met the love of her life. In various interviews, she has stated how she was blown away by Graham’s beauty. Later in that year only, Oprah and Graham grew closer, and love brewed. After dating for six long years, Graham finally proposed to Oprah in 1992 at her Indiana Farmhouse. However, Oprah did not want to get married and she refused his marriage proposal.
Winfrey recalled the instant excitement of being proposed to in a piece she wrote in 2020 about her relationship with Graham. She apparently realized that she liked her relationship with him in its current state. The couple started living together.
Graham stated in an interview with CNN that he does not determine his entire identity based on his connection with Winfrey. He stated that each of them is an individual with their own unique interests and goals that drive them.
In 2015, the beloved couple became grandparents. Graham’s daughter from his first marriage, Wendy, became a mother to a little girl whom they called Cadence. Even after 36 years, Oprah Winfrey and Stedman Graham are standing strong as a couple. Oprah has confessed that had she gotten married, their relationship would not have worked.
