Brad Pitt is one of the biggest names in Hollywood right now. With a career spanning over three decades, Brad has done films that have received unanimously critical and commercial success. His latest outing, the action comedy ‘Bullet Train‘ is also proving to be a box-office darling despite mixed reviews.
The David Leitch-directed film has minted $54.4 million at the domestic box office during its two-week theatrical run. It has claimed the top spot for the second week in a row with $13.1 million in North America. But this doesn’t seem like a piece of good news in a post-pandemic world. Here is why.

Brad Pitt-Starrer ‘Bullet Train’ Tops The Box Office In Second Week
‘Bullet Train‘ stars Brad Pitt, Joe King, and Aaron Taylor-Johnson among others. The film has collected a total of around $54.4 million at the domestic box office.
Made on a production budget of about $90 million, the film has grossed $114.5 million in total. It might seem great news but it’s actually not.
Despite no big releases lined up this week, ‘Bullet Train‘ saw a drop of 55 percent in its second week. It also led the top chart with a gross of $13.4 million which is the lowest figure for a chart-topper film this year.
The Brad Pitt-starrer is also the last major Hollywood release of summer. It seems that the industry will take some more time to recover from the pandemic. Tom Cruise’s ‘Top Gun: Maverick‘ is so far the most successful money spinner of 2022. It has grossed more than one billion at the box office.
Brad Pitt Talks About Getting Directed By His ‘Fight Club’ Stunt Double
‘Bullet Train‘ is directed by ‘David Leitch’ who has also helmed films like ‘Deadpool 2‘ and ‘John Wick‘. But before doing the director’s hat, he was working as a stunt double.
When asked about collaborating with David, Brad said: “That’s right, he was my stunt double on ‘Fight Club’ we met. And he trained me for those fights and in a way, he’s helping me develop the character.
Brad further added: “And now he’s a director with his own voice and own vernacular. I’m serving him, he’s the boss“.
The ‘Mr. & Mrs. Smith‘ actor concluded, “So there’s like a beautiful symmetry for two old friends.” David served as a stunt performer and stunt coordinator for many years.
