The Wine War Between Brad Pitt And Angelina Jolie
Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have been at loggerheads over a French winery. Now the war has gone murkier it seems, according to a report from Page Six.
A company founded by Jolie has filed a $250 million lawsuit against Pitt. It claims that he and a bunch of criminals launched a devious campaign to “seize control” of the winery.
The winery was bought by the ‘Fight Club‘ actor “in retaliation for the divorce and custody proceedings” and to “ensure… Jolie would never see a dime” of its vast profits.
The suit also claims that Pitt tried to use her stake in the winery to force her to sign a “hush-clause” to stop her from discussing the situation that led to their divorce. This was in reference to the 2016 private jet they took where Pitt pushed her and they had a fight.
Pitt spent millions of the company’s money on “vanity projects,” including a million-dollar worth of swimming pool. The court papers were filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Pitt Seized Control Of The Winery In Retaliation
The filing states that the two agreed that Jolie would oversee their humanitarian projects, while the “oversight of the couple’s investment in Chateau Miraval was left in the hands of Pitt.”
“In retaliation for the divorce and custody proceedings, Pitt embarked on a multi-faceted, years-long campaign to seize control of Chateau Miraval and appropriate the company’s assets for his benefit and that of his own companies and friends“, the suit mentioned.
“Appointing himself the rightful owner of Chateau Miraval, his twin objectives were to usurp the value of Jolie’s company, Nouvel, and to obtain sole ownership of Chateau Miraval.”
Jolie and Pitt started dating while filming for ‘Mr & Mrs. Smith‘. They share six children, three of whom are adopted.
