Supermodel Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik, singer and former One Direction member broke up after six years of togetherness. They made one of the most good-looking couples in Hollywood and even started their own family with their daughter Khai.

What Led To Gigi Hadid And Zayn Malik’s Break up?
Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik got together in 2015. Rumors of the two splitting up did the rounds in the media, but in 2021, after a violent altercation between Gigi’s then-partner Zayn and her mother Yolanda Hadid, things came to a final end.
Yolanda had actually gone over to Gigi and Zayn’s home in Pennsylvania. At the time, Gigi was out of the country to attend Paris Fashion Week. Due to reasons unknown, things went south between Yolanda and Zayn. Reports revealed that in the heat of the moment, he pushed Yolando into a dresser. Moreover, he fought with a guard.
Zayn, then responded to these allegations on social media, as a report claiming he “struck“ Gigi’s mother went viral on the internet. The singer denied all the accusations against him and asked the public to respect the privacy of his family. He stated, “I adamantly deny striking Yolanda Hadid, and for the sake of my daughter I decline to give any further details, and I hope that Yolanda will reconsider her false allegations and move towards healing these family issues in private.”
In the aftermath of the unfortunate incident, Gigi broke up with Zayn. However, the former couple is still co-parenting Khai.

What Was The Aftermath Of The Incident Between Zayn Malik and Yolanda Hadid?
After the incident, Zayn Malik was charged with four counts of harassment against Gigi and Yolanda. While the singer pled no contest against one charge, he was fined and given 90 days of probation for each one. All of this added up to a total of 360 days. The court also ordered Zayn to attend an anger management class along with a course against domestic violence. Zayn also had to cut ties with his alleged victims – Yolanda and the security guard.
Siding with their family, Gigi’s siblings Bella Hadid and Anwar Hadid unfollowed Zayn on social media platforms. As for Zayn’s family, despite the allegations, his sisters Waliyha Azad and Safaa Malik decided to stand by him.
Gigi chose not to address the incident publicly to protect her family. Her representative released a statement instead about her intentions to focus on whatever is best for her daughter Khai. On behalf of the model, privacy during the family’s challenging time was also requested.
