Prince Harry Addressed Matt Smith As “Granddad”
Matt Smith received heaps of praises for his portrayal of Prince Philip in the first two seasons of ‘The Crown.’ He not only received an Emmy nomination but praise from Prince Harry.
In his recent appearance on Today, the ‘House of the Dragon‘ star revealed that Prince Harry once addressed him as “granddad” when they met while playing polo.
“I met Harry once, at polo, which sounds a bit grand, but it wasn’t that grand,” Smith said. “And he walked up to me and went, ‘Granddad.’”
He added, “He watched the show! Well, I can’t claim to know if he watches it currently, but he watched a bit of it then.” Co-host Savannah Guthrie told Smith, “Well, he certainly watched your episodes.”
Production of the show was suspended after the death of Queen Elizabeth II. The show also will not be shot on the day of the Queen’s funeral.
Prince Harry Can Now Wear Military Uniform At Queen’s Vigil
Earlier it was reported that the Duke of Sussex will not be allowed to wear a military uniform at her vigil. However, it seems that he can and will be wearing the military outfit.
“He was simply prepared to wear whatever his grandmother made plans for. He’s focused on honoring her and that’s it. If they’d like him in uniform, I have no reason to think that he won’t oblige,” a source said.
Another source said: “The Duke of Sussex has served his country and is a highly respected member of the armed forces with everything he has done for veterans.
“It is important that the Queen’s grandchildren are all made to feel welcome and comfortable as they grieve their beloved grandmother together,” the source continued.
