Sarah Paulson And Pedro Pascal Have Been Good Friends
Pedro Pascal is a popular and successful actor right now. But in the early 2000s, he was struggling with money and that is when his friend Sarah Paulson came to the rescue.
In a new Esquire cover story, Paulson said she gave him a portion of her earning so that he could feed himself. They met in 1993 when Pascal had shifted to New York City from Chile to study at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
“We would go to see movies all the time in those years and we would get so lost in them“, she said, “You can fill in the blanks about the why of that however you like, but I think there were things we wanted to escape mentally, emotionally, spiritually.”
Paulson further added: “He’s talked about this publicly, but there were times when I would give him my per diem from a job I was working on so that he could have money to feed himself.”

What Did Pascal Say About That Time?
After finishing college, Pascal moved to Los Angeles to find acting gigs. Despite bagging small roles in television shows like ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’, ‘Undressed‘ and ‘Touched by an Angel‘, he struggled with money.
Talking about the struggling phase of his career, Pascal said: “I died so many deaths.” “My vision of it was that if I didn’t have some major exposure by the time I was 29 years old, it was over, so I was constantly readjusting what it meant to commit my life to this profession, and giving up the idea of it looking like I thought it would when I was a kid.’
Pascal has been headlining several successful television shows. He has also appeared in a film directed by Pedro Almodóvar which is slated to premiere at the 2023 Cannes film festival.
