Elizabeth Olsen Talks About Doing Stunts In Marvel Movies
Elizabeth Olsen appeared on Stephen Colbert’s ‘The Late Show‘ where she revealed that she did most of her own stunts as Scarlet Witch in the MCU. “Your stomach leaves you. It’s like, I guess, the joy people get on roller coasters, which I don’t get, but people love that feeling,” she said.
She then talked about why the studio doesn’t use stunt double for all her action scenes. “It’s a waste of everyone’s time because a stunt double does it so much better,” she explained.
Olsen recalls doing a stunt for ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness’ where she had to drop from 30 feet high and land on the floor. “They wanted to drop me pretty quickly so that it looked like it had an impact, but I kept landing like Peter Pan, kind of like fencing?“, she said. The actress said that she performed most of the stunts in the film.

“We can do anything with her now!” she said. “Now, we can really have fun; I feel like there’s a lot more humor to be had with her. She’s often the emotion of a story, and I’m curious to see what we can explore. And hopefully [we can] give her some redemption.”
