Ever since interest first sparked between Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom at the 2016 Golden Globes, the hot couple has covered a long distance from a breakup to raising a daughter together. However, the progress of their relationship seems to have come to standstill as they keep delaying the ultimate “I do” ceremony.
Naturally, rumors of a marriage in secret and insecurity on Katy’s part started to surface. But the ‘Roar‘ singer squashed these rumors with an explanation.

Katy Perry And Orlando Bloom’s Relationship Over The Years
Perry first met ‘The Lord of the Rings‘ actor at the 2016 Golden Globes, where he swiped off one of Perry’s In-N-Out burgers and immediately bonded over it. The two dated secretly for a few months before making it official with an Instagram post that was captioned “We cannes’t”, when they attended the Cannes Film Festival. In the following period, they were regularly seen together for Halloween, family holidays and vacations.
The couple split in February 2017, saying both needed to cater to their respective careers and would maintain their friendship. In 2018, Perry made it official on ‘American Idol‘ that she was “not single” anymore and that the couple has resumed dating. In February 2019, on Valentine’s Day, Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry got engaged and made an announcement on Instagram with a post of them and the singer fashioning the flower engagement ring.
In March 2020, Katy in her music video, ‘Never Worn White‘, was seen showing off her baby bump and telling that the couple was expecting their first child. On 26 August 2020 Orlando and Katy welcomed Daisy Dove Bloom into the world.

The Real Reason Perry Hasn’t Married Bloom Yet
Bloom and Perry have been engaged for over three years. Therefore the doubts raised about a broken engagement were ordinary, until Katy straightened out everything while appearing on the ‘Kyle and Jackie O Show’.
On being asked by Kyle if she had already married in secret or was unsure, the ‘I Kissed A Girl singer’ answered that the wedding venue is a “destination location” and the COVID-19 pandemic was the real culprit behind the delay. Perry jumped saying, “New Variant..new variant” popping up every month defers them from exchanging vows.
