After living together for seven years, the Hollywood couple have broken up. The couple announced their decision on 17 July. The couple was one of the most loved celebrity couples and fans are devastated.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the pair gave a joint statement to Page Six. “As two people that love and care for one another very much, we politely ask for respect of our privacy at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”
This divorce announcement comes just weeks after Vergara celebrated her 51st birthday. The signs of an imminent breakup were visible since Vergara did not post any pictures with her husband.

Sofia Vergara is known for her sense of humor and wit. So Joe Manganiello has to woo her after he fell head-over-heels in love with her. The ‘Magic Mike‘ star was traveling for work when he met Vergara through her ‘Modern Family‘ co-star Jesse Tyler Ferguson.
“Our first date was her giving me every reason why it would never work out,” Manganiello recollected, “Like, ‘You’re too young, you’re an actor, you’re this, you’re that,’ and she was just doing it to hear herself say it. She was trying to talk herself out of going there.”
However, Manganiello had already fallen for Vergara so he pulled all the stops to get into her good books. “‘Look, you might need to be single, and I understand that,‘” Manganiello recalled telling Sophia Vergara, “‘Now I can’t promise you I’m gonna be there at the end of your self-discovery process. But like, if you need to be single, I’ll understand. I’ll deal with it, life will go on.'” He even showed her his People magazine interview of being the ‘Number one bachelor’.
And soon enough the love birds got married in a fabulous ceremony at The Breakers in Palm Beach. They were surrounded by their friends, family and co-stars from their respective shows.
