On Friday, she testified in the Utah trial after being sued by a 76-year-old retired doctor named Terry Sanderson. In his suit, he alleged that she crashed into him at the Deer Valley Resort around seven years ago.
In her testimony, she said: “I was skiing and two skis came between my skis, forcing my legs apart and then there was a body pressing against me.” She then said that the doctor made a “strange grunting noise,” which made her think she was being sexually assaulted.
“My brain was trying to make sense of what was happening,” the actor further said. “I thought, ‘Is this a practical joke? Is someone doing something perverted?‘” After the collision, Paltrow said she screamed at him, “You skied directly into my fucking back!”

Sanderson sued her in January 2019 and alleged that she hit him from behind while skiing. He initially demanded damages of $3.1 million as the crash resulted in “permanent traumatic brain injury” and four broken ribs along with a concussion.
However, a judge ruled that he won’t be able to seek punitive damages and the amount was reduced to $300,000. The actress has filed a countersuit for $1, which includes the fees of attorneys.
Paltrow has stated that the doctor is using her fame and money to gain profit from the incident. Later on, Sanderson will be given a chance to tell his side of the story.
