American rapper, Sean Diddy, is mounted with allegations of rape, assault, and sex trafficking. Meanwhile, his ex-girlfriend, Yung Mimi had remained silent through the bustle. The ‘No Bars‘ singer was trolled ruthlessly for making no statement about Diddy’s actions, especially after there was videographic evidence of him hitting his ex, Cassie Ventura. However, Mimi is finally ready to break her silence.
The ‘Caresha Please‘ host broke down during the premiere of her second season. Mimi opened up about her relationship with Diddy and commented on several allegations about the rapper. The singer believes she found the rapper in his “Love era”. Mimi says that although she has experienced abusive relationships, Cassie’s ordeal “wasn’t my experience.”
“I Wouldn’t Even Put Up With That”: Mimi On Diddy’s Assault Case
Yung Mimi told People that she was, “deeply hurt and shocked after watching the video.” The rapper broke up with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs after the 2016 video clip was released, in which Diddy assaulted his then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, which previously he had slammed as Ventura’s gameplan for a ‘payday’. Mimi opened up that she too has been in an abusive relationship before. “In high school, my early 20s, and they’re not healthy. They’re not fun. It’s just I’ve been there, done that, and that’s somewhere I would never want to put myself.”
Mimi says that she wants to be a good example to her daughter. “Now, being 30 with two kids, that’s something I don’t condone or tolerate, something that I grew from.” However commenting on Diddy’s allegations Mimi says, “That’s why I say that wasn’t my experience with him because I wouldn’t even put up with that.”
Mimi On Her Relationship With Diddy
Mimi opens up about her relationship with Sean Diddy with People. She says that she met the rapper, who was twenty years older, during his love era. She says, “He was focused on building love, and really locked in on his music and business. I was with him when the world was celebrating him.” The Act Up singer explained that when she met Diddy he was “just a man first”. The rapper helped Mimi and gave her new ideas for business.
Therefore, while Mimi rebukes Diddy’s crime, she cannot relate to Cassie’s experience. Since the controversy with Diddy, Yung Mimi has broken up with the rapper. She says, “Sometimes a relationship runs its course. People break up every day, and with everything that happened, I just needed time alone.”
