The Batman was finally released after a couple of years of wait. The Robert Pattinson starrer has promised to provide a banging start to the year 2022. However, the show doesn’t stop here as DC has an exciting line-up of shows scheduled for this year. DC is in the process of creating more than 15 exciting shows that’ll hit the TV screens through several networks like CW, Cartoon Network, and HBO Max.

DC’s Peacemaker is still airing its first season on the screens. Meanwhile, the makers announced that the show will be revived for a second season. The current creator James Gunn will lead the direction for this season as well. Other than this, DC is set to bring more spin-off shows based on hit concepts and characters from Batman and Arrowverse.

Gotham Knights

Gotham Knights by Greg Berlanti will feature characters from Batman’s story. The show will follow the story after Batman’s death and how his adopted son will deal with the Caped Crusader’s enemies. Moreover, the show will come on screens quite soon this year with a scheduled premiere in April.

DC collaborates with Cartoon Network for this animated show based on the superhero. The show features Superman’s alter ego Clark Kent during his early years as a journalist. Moreover, the show will have Lois Jane and Jimmy Olsen as well as the trio handle their early journalism career at Daily Planet. There aren’t many details about the show as yet. However, Jack Quaid and Alice Lee are expected to voice the characters of Lois and Olsen.

Suicide Squad Spinoff

James Gunn recently mentioned that he’s working on another spin-off based on the hit film. The concept or central character isn’t finalized yet. Speculations are about Idris Elba’s Bloodsport and Daniela Melchior’s Ratcatcher 2 coming to the spin-off. The show will air on HBO Max just like the ongoing spinoff Peacemaker.

This will be another HBO Max show which is expected to start rolling in this spring. The show has been in talks for quite some time now. The story will feature many heroes from The Green Lantern Corp including Jessica Cruz, Simon Baz, Alan Scott, and Guy Gardner.

The show will be DC’s first-ever anthology based on the comic hero Adam Strange. No information about the team or lead actors is unveiled by the makers as yet. Justice League Dark will feature a team of Superheroes with shady personas as suggested by the name. The show will be a live-action adaptation of DC’s comic. Moreover, JJ Abrams and Ben Stephenson are the executive producers of the show. The show will most probably feature DC superheroes like John Constantine, Deadman, Madame Xanadu, and Zatanna.

The show will be a spin-off series based on the previously mentioned Justice League Dark. It’ll most probably feature an individual character from the Justice League Dark show. Madame X adds to the list of spinoffs ideated on one of the characters from the Justice League Dark team. This show, however, will probably be available for online streaming as well. The makers haven’t any details about the show hinting that its premiere will happen after the Justice League Dark show as well.

Val-Zod will serve as a Superman in his alternate universe. Michael B Jordan is on-board as one of the producers. However, some reports suggest that he’ll be taking over the lead as well. Nothing has been confirmed by the makers as yet.

The pilot episode has a set list of confirmed actors involving George Rexstrew, Jayden Revri, and Kassius Nelson. The story is said to be about two ghost children solving mysteries on Earth.

Originally ideated by Reeves as a sequel to The Batman, the show will revolve around Oswald Cobblepot’s story. It will feature Penguin’s rise in Gotham City’s crime syndicate. Colin Farrell is set to take the centre stage as Penguin in the show. Matt Reeves and Farrell serve as the executive producers of the show. It will be the first spin-off based on the latest Batman film.

The show is in the early stage of development with Elizabeth Banks and Max Handelman driving the project. It will be a short live-action comedy featuring teenage superheroes. The show will follow a metahuman school setup. There’s isn’t much to disclose about this project as yet, however, this show will feature renowned DC Superheroes in their teenage.

This is the third spin-off based on The Batman world as suggested by Matt Reeves. Seems like Matt Reeves is set upon developing a Batverse of his own. Details about the third spin-off are thin as of now. The Arkham Asylum houses many of the dangerous villains involved in Batman’s story.

Other than these TV shows, DC will also release many movies across 2022-24. Some names that have come up include Black Adam, The Flash, Shazam! Fury Of The Gods, and many more.
