    However, Warner Bros. went ahead with their decision to keep the Ezra Miller cast intact. The studio received a lot of flak for its decision, but the audience had a euphoric reaction to the trailer for the film. The film centers around Barry Allen going on a mission to save his mother by visiting a different timeline. ‘The Flash’ will evoke nostalgia with Michael Keaton wearing the Batman cape after 30 years. Now that the legal lawsuits are being dropped, Ezra Miller has made a rare public comment by thanking the executives and director, Andy Muschietti.

Peter Safran and James Gunn are leading the creative planning to revive the magic of some of the iconic DC characters. David Zaslav, the CEO of the new merger, has been advocating bringing some secondary characters to the forefront and presenting the mainstream ones in a new light. So, with the Ezra Miller-starrer ‘The Flash,’ DCEU will mark the inception of the new timeline.

    While ‘The Flash’ will serve a bigger purpose for the franchise, Ezra Miller, the protagonist, has had run-ins with the law. Many people accused them of some heinous crimes, including harassment and felonies. They also groomed a young transgender activist, choked a woman in Iceland, and harassed a woman in Germany.

    Now, the actor has made their first public appearance since the legal havoc they created. Ezra Miller walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of ‘The Flash.’ During the premiere, on the red carpet, Miller extended his thanks to the people who made the franchise possible. They thanked Andy Muschietti, saying, “I love you, maestro. I think you are amazing, and I think your work is monumental.”

    Ezra Miller also thanked Warner Bros.’ heads, Pamela Abdy and Michael De Luca, along with Zack Snyder and Deborah Snyder for giving them a chance in ‘The Flash. But the ‘Perks of Being a Wallflower’ actor said wonderful things about Peter Safran and James Gunn. They continued, “and the dynamic duo — Peter Safran and James Gunn — for your grace and discernment and care in the context of my life and in bringing this moment actually to fruition.”

    During CinemaCon in April 2023, Andy Muschietti opened up about Ezra Miller for the first time. The director said, “Ezra is well now. We’re all hoping that they get better… They’re taking the steps to recovery. They’re dealing with mental health issues, but they’re well. We talked to them not too long ago, and they’re very committed to getting better.”

    Ezra Miller appeared as Barry Allen in ‘Batman Vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice.’ ‘The Flash’ will have its first standalone film with this Andy Muschietti directorial. In an interview with Variety, Andy said that he wants Miller to continue playing the Scarlet Speedster. He said, “If [a sequel] happens, yes. I don’t think there’s anyone that can play that character as well as they did.”

    Muschietti continued, “The other depictions of the character are great, but this particular vision of the character, they just excelled in doing it. And, as you said, the two Barrys — it feels like a character that was made for them.”
