Is ‘Wonder Woman 3’ Happening? Gal Gadot Shares Update

It looks like there’s still some room for ‘Wonder Woman’ projects. After James Gunn scrapped the Patty Jenkins-led project, Gal Gadot‘s future as the Amazonian warrior-princess was left in doubt. James Gunn shifted his focus on recasting significant roles, such as Superman, and bringing more unknown DC characters into the fold.

Gal Gadot had cameos in ‘Shazam! Fury Of The Gods’ and ‘The Flash.’ But according to her, there have been talks of her returning for another ‘Wonder Woman’ movie. However, there have been no official announcements for the studio. Officially, DC doesn’t have a live-action film planned, and there’s been no word from the studio recently.

At this point, James Gunn’s firing of Henry Cavill is well-documented. Ben Affleck, too, has ended his tenure as Batman. But Gal Gadot’s future remains uncertain in James Gunn’s DCU. While he is interested in developing a ‘Wonder Woman’ animated series, another live-action film might be on the cards to round out the ‘Wonder Woman’ trilogy.

Right before the SAG-AFTRA strike, Gal Gadot sat with ComicBook.com to talk about her upcoming Netflix spy-thriller ‘Heart Of Stone.‘ The Israeli-American actor gave the outlet an exclusive scoop, announcing, “From what I heard from James and from Peter is that we’re gonna develop a Wonder Woman 3 together.”
