All About ‘Wizards Of Waverly Place’ Reunion
Previously, David Henrie and Selena Gomez had teased a little something to fans, after a series of mysterious meetings and little reunions. After much speculation, Gomez finally confirmed the sequel.
Disney Branded Television is initiating a pilot for a follow-up, which will be produced by Gomez and Henrie, who originally played Justin and Alex Russo.
The creators and executive producers of ‘Raven’s Home‘, a comedic spinoff on the Disney Channel, Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas. are behind the revival pilot. After a mystery occurrence at WizTech, the story continues with an adult Justin Russo choosing to live a regular, human life with his wife and two boys instead of using his magical skills. However, he is taken aback when a strong young magician who needs instruction knocks on his door. In order to secure the Wizard World’s future, Justin needs to accept his past.

Who Will Be Starring In The Pilot?
The series will mainly focus on Justin’s life- which means that Henrie will be a series regular while Gomez will be a guest star in the show. New cast members such as Janice LeAnn Brown, Alkaio Thiele and Mimi Gianupulos are joining the cast as well.
Series lead Janice Brown will be portraying the character of Billie – the wizard whom Justin helps, while Thiele will play Roman Russo- Justin’s eldest son; Gianopulos will play Justin’s wife, Giada.
Additionally, Gary Marsh and Andy Fickman will also be producing the show, with Fickman taking the role of the director.
The announcement puts rest to years of speculations of fans wanting a reunion of the cast that they had loved for years. The original show was one of Disney’s most successful shows – thanks to Gomez and Henrie specifically. It will be interesting to know what more there is in store for fans this time. The release date for the pilot has not been released yet.
