Nothing seems to be flawless. Among the TV presenters including Jimmy Kimmel, Graham Norton, Noah Trevor, and others, Jimmy Fallon is said to be someone every celebrity is very much comfortable with. He seems to be easy-going and comfortable to talk to. But that is not the case. Behind the scenes, there is a very different story.
Jimmy Fallon started his career in the late 1990s with Saturday Night Live. He stayed on this NBC sketch comedy series from 1998 to 2004. From 2009 to 2014, he took over from the late-night talk show, ‘Late Night with Jimmy Fallon‘. ‘The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon‘ was started in 2014. And it’s here that the staff has claimed a toxic work environment.
Employees Accuse Jimmy Fallon Of Creating A Toxic Work Environment
It was two current employees and 14 other former employees who had allegedly accused the talk show host, Jimmy Fallon of creating a toxic work environment. Rolling Stone had approached 80 current and former employees to know more about the situation. However “not a single one agreed to speak on the record or had positive things to say about working on the Tonight Show,” the article reads.
The report also says that Fallon would have outbursts and lash out at staff when stressed. “Nobody told Jimmy, ‘No.’ Everybody walked on eggshells, especially showrunners. You never knew which Jimmy we were going to get and when he was going to throw a hissy fit. Look how many showrunners went so quickly. We know they didn’t last long,” a former employee says. In addition, even the previous senior staff bullied them.

Jimmy Fallon Apologizes To His Staff
According to Rolling Stone and various other news sources, the talk host has reportedly apologized to the employees on ‘The Tonight Show‘. He had met the staff over a brief Zoom meeting on September 7, apologizing to them for his erratic and abrupt behavior. “It’s embarrassing and I feel so bad. Sorry if I embarrassed you and your family and friends. I feel so bad I can’t even tell you,” sources shared with Rolling Stone.
He also added, “I want this show to be fun, it should be inclusive for everybody, it should be funny, it should be the best show, the best people.” Currently, the Tonight Show is on hiatus due to the ongoing writers and actors strike. And many of the talk show hosts have come together to form podcasts to fund their staff.
