The Hollywood writers and actors strike has been going on since May and there seems to be no end to the strike. The studios and the strikers cannot come to an agreement even after multiple negotiations. And now the cast of ‘Breaking Bad‘ has also joined the picket lines.
Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul reunited with other cast members at the picket lines. Let’s look at what they are demanding. Hollywood is at a standstill since SAG-AFTRA joined the WGA in the strike.

Bryan Cranston And Aaron Paul Join The Hollywood Strike
The cast of ‘Breaking Bad‘ joined the picket line to call upon Hollywood studios to restart negotiations. They chose Sony Studios since it is related to the hit Emmy-winning series and its spin-offs like ‘Better Call Saul’ and ‘El Camino’.
Bryan Cranston, who played the lead, Walter White in ‘Breaking Bad’ said, “We want you to come back to the table with us.” The cast members like Arom Paul, Jesse Plemons and others joined the picket lines to support the strikers.
“The way things were structured 10 years ago made a lot of sense and it made it more possible for journeymen-type actors, actors in the middle that are working just as a hard or harder,” Plemons said. The WGA and SAG-AFTRA are looking to change the dominance of streaming services and the unfair pay scales.

There is no doubt that the AMC series is one of the most watched and most loved series on the internet. ‘Breaking Bad‘ has also received an Emmy Award and is one of the most popular series on Netflix.
However, one of the leading faces of the show, Aaron Paul revealed that Netflix does not pay him anything. And this extends to almost everyone on the cast.
“I don’t get a piece from Netflix on Breaking Bad to be totally honest and that’s insane to me,” Paul said. “I think a lot of these streamers know that they have been getting away with not paying people a fair wage and now it’s time to pony up.”
“We’re not making them the enemy. They are not villains. These are people that we all will be working with once again at some point,” Bryan Cranston added while talking about Sony, “We just want them to see reality.”
