Dodgers’ Kike Hernandez Trolls Drake After World Series Win Over Blue Jays

The Los Angeles Dodgers capped off their 2025 season in spectacular fashion, defeating the Toronto Blue Jays in a nail-biting Game 7 at the Rogers Centre. Toronto stood just three outs away from securing the championship before Los Angeles mounted a stunning rally in the eleventh inning, clinching their second consecutive World Series title. The victory not only reaffirmed the Dodgers’ dominance but also solidified their reputation as one of the most formidable dynasties in modern baseball.

Beyond the diamond, the Fall Classic evolved into a full-blown cultural phenomenon, one that transcended sports. The World Series became the stage for a hometown rivalry between two global music icons: Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar and Toronto superstar Drake. Both fiercely backed their respective teams, turning the matchup into a city-versus-city spectacle. The tension reached new heights when Drake took to social media to mock Shohei Ohtani and the Dodgers throughout the series, adding an extra layer of drama to an already unforgettable championship clash.

When the Dodgers returned home to celebrate their title with a citywide parade that ended at Dodger Stadium, utility player Kike Hernandez used the spotlight to address the rapper’s online comments. Speaking in front of thousands of fans, Hernandez turned Drake’s own words and branding against him, making sure the message was loud and clear.

An independent creator recently shared a post on X highlighting Hernandez’s comments. He shared a clip of the speech, where he said, “What’s up Dodgers Nation? It’s October’s very own … standing here, playing the most games in October for this franchise, for this really big team that has a lot of really big rings.” This was in reference to Drake’s famous brand and his song Big Rings.

The crowd roared as he continued, “My teammates have been pretty humble. But I think it’s time to talk that sh*t. Everybody’s been asking questions about a dynasty. How about three in six years? How about a back-to-back? Yeah, we’re a mother f—ing dynasty, baby!”

He closed his speech with one final shot that summed up the Dodgers’ confidence. “And I want to take this time to apologize –– to absolutely f—ing nobody,” he declared, dropping the microphone to massive cheers.

What Did Drake Say About The Dodgers?

Drake had previously mocked the Dodgers after the Blue Jays went up 3–2 in the series. On his Instagram stories, he shared an image of Shohei Ohtani striking out with the caption “Sav*ge already otw to the dugout boss lol,” along with another photo that read “ONE MORE!!!!!!!

The posts quickly went viral among baseball fans. And once the Dodgers completed their comeback and secured the championship, Hernandez flipped the narrative with his victory speech. The Los Angeles Dodgers won their second straight World Series title with a 5–4 win over the Toronto Blue Jays in 11 innings at the Rogers Center.

Toronto led 3–0 after Bo Bichette’s home run, but Los Angeles rallied and tied the game in the ninth when Miguel Rojas hit a solo shot off Jeff Hoffman. Rojas later threw out the potential tying run at home, keeping the Dodgers ahead.

In the 11th inning, Will Smith hit the first extra-inning home run ever in a World Series Game 7, giving Los Angeles the lead. Yoshinobu Yamamoto ended the game by inducing a ground ball that Mookie Betts turned into a double play. The Dodgers’ win marked their third championship in six years and confirmed their position as baseball’s most dominant team of the decade.

With their third title in six years, the Dodgers team reinforced its dynasty status while having the last laugh in one of the most talked-about World Series celebrations in recent memory.
