Does Dwayne Johnson Suffer From Hair Loss?
Dwayne Johnson once controlled the entire wrestling arena when he was a professional wrestler. He also had a head full of hair. However, in the past few years, the ‘Walking Tall‘ actor has gone bald.
His bald head has now become his signature look but many people think he is suffering from hair loss. In 2017, Rock solved this mystery while responding to a GIF on Twitter.
Johnson wrote: “Why I luv GIFs. I’m not bald because I went bald. I’m bald because my hair is a cross between an afro and hair from a Lama’s ball sac.”

Why Is He Called The Rock?
Johnson is one of those rare celebrities who is equally known by his nickname, which is The Rock. The reason and story behind this trace back to his early days at WWE.
In his initial days, Johnson decided to pursue a career in the Canadian football league. However, he was assigned to Calgary’s practice roster but was cut two months into Calgary’s 1995 season.
He then decided to join wrestling like his father and grandfather. Johnson made his WWF (now WWE) debut in 1996 with the ring name Rocky Maivia. It was a combination of his father’s and grandfather’s ring names (Rocky Johnson and Peter Maivia).
Johnson wrestled for almost two years with that ring name until 1997. He was heavily booed by the audience and lost the Intercontinental Championship to Owen Hart. He then turned heel (antagonist) and started referring to himself in the third person as The Rock. Despite his leaving wrestling, the name stuck with him.
