Emilia Clarke Opens Up Surving Two Brain Hemorrhages
Emilia recently appeared on BBC One’s Sunday Morning Show, where she talked about her Brain Aneurysm.
Emilia said, “The amount of my brain that is no longer usable – it’s remarkable that I am able to speak, sometimes articulately, and live my life completely normally with absolutely no repercussions …… I am in the really, really, really small minority of people that can survive that.”
The actress also said that “quite a bit” of her brain is missing. “Because strokes, basically, as soon as any part of your brain doesn’t get blood for a second, it’s gone. And so the blood finds a different route to get around, but then whatever bit it’s missing is therefore gone.”
She had also suffered from aphasia, which is a disorder that affects one’s ability to communicate. Emilia couldn’t communicate or express herself properly and at one point, couldn’t even recall her own name. But she didn’t have long-lasting issues and she is in a good state, physically.
