“It was just the happiest, most beautiful, sweetest day,” Williams said, reflecting on the celebrations that capped the year.
Williams and Preti’s wedding journey began on Sept. 18, 2025, with their first ceremony in Italy. The location held personal significance for both, but logistical challenges prevented them from completing all legal requirements there.
“We had this dream to do our wedding in Italy,” Williams told Vogue. “But we didn’t have enough time to do the paperwork, because I’m a foreigner, it can take about eight months. So we decided to have a second wedding.”
That decision led to a second ceremony in Palm Beach, Florida, where the couple planned a five-day celebration that, according to Vogue, “focused more on Venus’s Florida roots.” The extended festivities allowed family and close friends to gather for multiple events leading up to the formal ceremony.

The Palm Beach celebration kicked off on Monday with a yacht outing organized by Williams’ younger sister, Serena Williams. “Serena gave us this gift of a beautiful yacht, and she arranged all the food, everything,” Williams shared.
She added, “We had 10 to 12 of our closest family and friends who were in town on the boat, and we were singing, dancing, gossiping, and just enjoying each other.”

Following the yacht gathering, the week continued with a bridal shower on Tuesday and a pool party on Wednesday. On Thursday, the couple hosted a “sports day” celebrating Williams’ lifelong connection to athletics, featuring activities such as pickleball, dodgeball, wheelbarrow races, volleyball, and tennis.
The festivities culminated on Friday with a courthouse ceremony in Palm Beach. Preti described the moment as “very unique, emotional, and deep.” For the occasion, Williams wore “the most incredible dress by Georges Hobeika.”
She told Vogue that she chose the gown because it was a design she “thought Andrea would love and that was magical and perfect for a Florida wedding.” Preti recalled being overwhelmed when he saw Williams walk down the aisle.
He said, “When I saw Venus, she was beautiful, like a goddess. I was crying and happy. I know my grandmother was there, looking down at us.”
