The fandom has always pitted two characters against each other in an imaginary battle in the past. Now, the fans have envisioned a battle between Knull and Gorr The God Butcher. But, if the battle takes place, who will win?
The Origin And Powers Of Gorr The God Butcher And Knull. Who Will Win In A Fight?
If a battle has to take place, one has to weigh the powers. If we talk about Gorr The Butcher, he possesses the All-Black Necrosword. But, how did he get hold of the sword? In the new film, Thor: Love And Thunder, Gorr The Butcher go on a rampage to kill all the gods, including the God Of Thunder. The reason that Gorr the God Butcher goes on a good killing spree is due to his bruised past.
Gorr takes birth on a perpetually famished planet. Faith was an integral part of the planet. and Gorr followed it thoroughly. However, he got convinced that there is no existence of God after the death of his parents, pregnant wife, and eventually his only son, Agar. He tries to rebel against the people but gets exiled.
During the exile, he catches hold of the sight of the battle between Knull and a god. Both crash near Gorr’s exile camp. Knull has the most powerful Necrosword as the weapon. Gorr acquires it and possesses all the power and travels to kill all the gods. The weapon suffused powers like durability, strength, regeneration, and shape-shifting.
On the other hand, Knull is the God of darkness and creator of the symbiote. As he resided between the end of Sixth Cosmos and the beginning of Seventh, he thrived in the darkness. As the name suggests, he worships void. For the years before the Celestials, he was comfortable in the abode of the darkness.
However, he was enraged when Celestials disturbed his deep dark slumber which led to the creation of the All-Black Necrosword created out of the darkness and his shadow. He created an armor from the light that distorted the darkness in his world. A nihilistic being devouring life and slaying gods became his identity. Knull is a powerful opponent as he is the creator of the Necrosword that Gorr possesses. He derives most of his power from the alive corpse of the celestial he used to create armor and refine the sword.
Apart from this, he is durable, immortal till injured to the level of incapacitation, a warrior par excellence. Now, if the sword is with Gorr it could be a different story altogether. On the other hand, Knull transformed the sword when confronted with Wraith, he removed his Exolon symbiote, the parasites thriving on the immortal souls, and infused it in its armor. So, if any battle takes place between Knull and Gorr The God Butcher, Knull has an upper hand with the mutant and more powerful All-Black Necrosword.
