Has Angelina Jolie’s Abuse Claims Impacted The Image Of Brad Pitt?

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt (described as Brangelina) were once one of Hollywood’s most famous power couples. The two often oozed relationship goals as the media monitored their every move. However, it didn’t last long and they parted ways in 2016.

In her lawsuit, the ‘Malificient‘ actress claimed that Pitt physically assaulted her and her kids in a private jet in 2016. No charges were pressed on him and it seems that he walked away Scott-free. So it’s important to examine if all the abuse claims impacted his reputation or not.

Angelina Jolie alleged that Pitt physically hit her and their kids in 2016 inside a private jet. The news came out amid a legal dispute over the French winery Château Miraval, which they had owned together.

On October 4, Jolie filed a countersuit that detailed the incident. While no charges were pressed, the FBI launched an investigation. Pitt’s rep stated that Jolie “continues to rehash, revise and reimagine” the fight.

However, it seems more or less that the revelation hasn’t changed anything for the ‘Fight Club‘ actor. He is gearing up for the release of Damien Chazelle’s ‘Babylon‘, which will hit the theatres in December.

In the past, there have been examples of people, especially men, walking Scott-free despite committing crimes. A case in point is filmmaker Woody Allen, who still enjoys strong support in Hollywood.

The Hollywood Reporter conducted a consult survey among a nationally representative sample of 2,211 adults in the United States. It indicated that the abuse claims haven’t impacted his image.

During the survey, 70 percent answered either “very favorable” or “somewhat favorable” about the 58-year-old actor. They were asked a second time after being told about Jolie’s abuse allegations.

This time, that combined number moved to 65 percent. In the survey, fewer women reported interest in seeing his film compared with men, with 49 percent of women saying they were “somewhat” or “very” interested in seeing a film starring Pitt.

Men, on the other hand, gave a number of 56 percent. Two-thirds of the respondents aged between 35-to-44 (66 percent) said they were “somewhat” or “very” interested in seeing his film, compared with 54 percent of those 18-to-34 and 50 percent of 45-to-64.
