One of the most-watched shonen animes is ‘Hunter x Hunter‘. The manga, which was written by Togashi Yoshihiro, is still being published. In 1999 and again in 2011, two anime adaptations of the manga were produced. The 2011 version is more thorough and somewhat faithful to the manga.
A little child named Gon who lives on Whale Island is the main character of ‘Hunter X Hunter‘. Gon decides to become a Hunter since his father is one and he wants to look for him. He meets Killua, the Zoldyck family’s kid, and their adventures start. After the chimera ant arc, Gon no longer can employ nen. Not only that, he almost dies due to it. How Did The Chimera Ant Arc End?
The chimera ant arc in ‘Hunter x Hunter‘ 2011 anime is the longest and most intense arc. Gon and Killua were devastated as Kite was kidnapped by Pitou right in front of them. Gon was hell-bent on getting revenge for kite and was keen on getting Pitou to heal Kite after he saw Kite’s condition. He confronts Pitou near the end of the Chimera ant arc where he learns that Kite is dead and that Pitou was using him as a puppet. Due to this Gon gets extremely angry and goes feral.
He summons his aura and power to the best of his capabilities. He made a contract that enabled him to get more ability. He wished to get more power and said he didn’t care if he dies by doing that he traded his life for revenge.
How Does Killua Heal Gon?
Speaking of the recovery, it was not Killua who healed Gon. It was Alluka Zoldyck, or rather Nanika which is a being from the dark continent that inhabits Alluka. However, it was Killua who got his sister out of the confinement of the Zoldyck mansion to get her to heal Gon.
Nanika is a being from the dark continent and is probably called an Ai. Every time an expedition to the dark continent fails, a dark being comes back to the world in the form of a curse. Nanika is probably one such curse. Nanika is a being that can grant wishes.
The downside is that she makes requests that are equivalent to the scale of the wish. In short, the bigger the wish is, the harder the request would be. The only exception is when Nanika is healing someone, she does not ask for big things after she has healed someone.
Killua asked Nanika to heal Gon and restore him to his previous state. Nanika touched his hand and was able to do it. The only downside was, that Gon was unable to use Nen even after getting healed. This is how Killua healed Gon when he was on the verge of dying.
