Who Was Rubeus Hagrid?
Rubeus Hagrid is a fictional character who appears in J. K. Rowling‘s ‘Harry Potter‘ book series and the film series. A half-giant and half-human, Hagrid is the gamekeeper and Keeper of the Keys and Grounds of Hogwarts.
He first appeared in ‘Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone’ and is promoted to Care of Magical Creatures professor in the third book, ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’.
Hagrid is later revealed to be a member of the Order of the Phoenix. Despite his massive size and strength, Hagrid is a kind and compassionate person. He’s also very loyal and friendly.
He talks in a very thick West Country accent and is supportive of Harry and all his friends in difficult times.

How Many Magical Pets Did Hagrid Have?
Hagrid possessed several magical pets. Apart from Norbert, Fang, and Fluffy, Hagrid had several exotic and dangerous pets. His love for magical creatures dates back to his time as a student at Hogwarts.
He has a love for animals who are neglected or not cared for. This morphed into him keeping so many magical creatures. It was probably because he knows what it’s like to be an outcast, being a half-giant.
Hagrid has at least 11 creatures including the Acromantula, Aragog a big spider who mated with another one of Hagrid’s pets, Mosag. Occamy is another strange magical serpentine in his possession.
Buckbeak the Hippogriff (a bird/Pegasus hybrid), Thestrals, and a collection of Flitterby Moths are some of the creatures he cares for.
