Jamie Lee Curtis has been enjoying the success of her recent film ‘Everything Everywhere All At Once‘. The absurdist comedy flick has received rave reviews and Curtis’s acting was also praised.
The film has a connection to the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) as the Russo Brothers were the producers. But Jamie is apparently afraid of joining the MCU. She also took a light-hearted dig at the Marvel films.

Jamie Lee Curtis Is Afraid Of MCU
The ‘Halloween‘ actress had hit out at Marvel on her Instagram post writing that her “tiny movie that could and did and continues to do ##1movieinamerica and is TRULY MARVELOUS, out marvels any Marvel movie they put out there.” She also accused ‘Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness‘ of a “copycat poster.” She had also shared reviews that favor her film over the Marvel ones.
She talked to PEOPLE magazine about having a beef with the studio. She said, “I have nothing against Marvel as an entity. I’ve seen a lot of Marvel movies.”
The 63-year-old actress clarified, “What I was talking about is that ‘Everything Everywhere All at Once’ was a little movie that could … and [we] were able to tell a multiverse story that really touched people. What I was trying to talk about was it doesn’t have to be a Marvel movie in order to be a spectacle and to really move you.”
But Jamie mentioned her fear if she joins MCU. “I’m afraid if I do a Marvel movie, they’re going to stick dots all over me and make me act by myself in a warehouse somewhere.” She said that her earlier film was fun because “there was no green screen!”
Jamie Assumed Ana De Armas Was Inexperienced And Unsophisticated
Curtis earlier admitted that she was embarrassed about judging Ana de Armas during their first meeting on the set of ‘Knives Out.’
She said, “I assumed — and I say this with real embarrassment — because she had come from Cuba, that she had just arrived. I made an assumption that she was an inexperienced, unsophisticated young woman, That first day, I was like, ‘Oh, what are your dreams?”
The actress then praised Armas. “She is not as fancy as maybe the advertisements would have you believe. She leans in, interested; talking to her is a kind of give-and-take. She’s curious and asks a lot of questions.”
The two started bonding well during ‘Knives Out‘. Jamie was impressed by her acting and said, “I immediately wanted to try to do anything I could to help this young actor from Cuba on her journey, though I quickly realized she didn’t need it. Her gifts were evident.”
