Jeremy Renner is an actor known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, lately, the actor has been in the news for his horrific accident that took place in the new year. A snow plowing machine ran over him and left him seriously injured.
Thankfully, the 52-year-old actor has recovered from the life-threatening injury. He has given an interview for the first time since the incident. ‘The Hurt Locker‘ actor revealed that he broke eight ribs in his body because of the injury. Let us take a closer look at what he said.

Jeremy Renner Gives His First Interview Since The Snowplow Accident
The year 2023 did not start on a good note for actor Jeremy Renner. At his home on the new year, a snowplowing machine ran over him which left him seriously injured. However, after spending weeks in the hospital and undergoing surgery, he is fine now.
He has given an interview for the first time since the incident. According to Variety, Diane Sawyer of ABC News took the interview with Renner where he revealed certain details about the incident.
When asked how much of it he remembers, the actor said “all of it.” “I was awake through every moment.” “I see him in a pool of blood coming from his head,” Renner’s nephew says. “I ran up to him. I didn’t think he was alive.”
Renner suffered eight broken ribs in 14 places along with damages on his right knee, right ankle broken, left leg tibia, left ankle broken, and other places. His lung also collapsed momentarily.

Renner Has Been Recovering Fast
On January 1, Renner’s Sno-Cat ran him over while he was trying to help his nephew in the snow near his home in Lake Tahoe. In the interview, the actor remembers thinking about how his body would look like after the injuries.
“What’s my body going to look like?” he said. “Am I just going to be a spine and a brain, like a science experiment?” At one point, Renner gets emotional remembering the time he said sorry to his family via sign language.
“I’ve lost a lot of flesh and bone in this experience, but I’ve been refueled and refilled with love and titanium,” he added.
