Jessica Chastain Defends Florence Pugh Over Sheer Dress
Florence Pugh recently wore a pink see-through dress at the Valentino show in Rome. The dress was bra-less and her nipples were visible which irked a lot of people on the internet. Pugh then started receiving hate messages on social media.
Now, Jessica Chastain has come in support of Pugh’s outfit. She shared a story on Instagram and wrote: “Why is it so threatening for some men to realize that women can love our bodies without your permission? We don’t belong to you.”
The ‘Interstellar’ star’s comment comes after Rege-Jean Page also came out in the support of Pugh’s see-through outfit.
Pugh lashes Out At Trolls Who Criticized Her Dress
Pugh responded to people via an Instagram post as they started calling her “tiny tits” or “flat-chested.” The ‘Black Widow’ actress wrote a long post criticizing people for sexism and judging women for their appearance.
She wrote, “What’s been interesting to watch and witness is just how easy it is for men to totally destroy a woman’s body, publicly, proudly, for everyone to see. You even do it with your job titles and work emails in your bio..?”
The 26-year-old actress further added, “So many of you wanted to aggressively let me know how disappointed you were by my ‘tiny tits’, or how I should be embarrassed by being so ‘flat chested’. Pugh also wondered why people were scared of breasts irrespective of their size, writing, “It makes me wonder what happened to you to be so content on being so loudly upset by the size of my boobs and body..? I’m very grateful that I grew up in a household with very strong, powerful, curvy women. We were raised to find power in the creases of our body. To be loud about being comfortable.”
Pugh is not new to giving it back to trolls. She had earlier addressed the big age difference between her and her boyfriend Zac Braff who is 47 years old. She stated that “I do not need you to tell me who I should and shofloreuld not date.”
