Jessica Chastain and Ralph Fiennes star in the upcoming crime thriller “The Forgiven”. It’s trailer is an edge-of-the-seat ride. Written and directed by John Michael McDonagh, the film will release in cinemas on July 1. The story is based on the novel of the title name by Lawrence Osborne.
‘The Forgiven’ Trailer: An Exciting Ride
Vertical Entertainment and Roadside Attractions unveiled the trailer of “The Forgiven” starring Jessica Chastain and Ralph Fiennes as wealthy westerners who go through life without dealing with the consequences of their own actions. The tipping point in their story comes when David (Ralph Fiennes) hits a local teenage boy while driving to an old friend’s lavish weekend party in the Moroccan desert with his car in a drunken state. He shows no remorse and his wife, Jo Henninger (Jessica Chastain), realises that their relationship is much worse than she thought. Eventually, the boy’s family arrives to demand justice for the tragedy.

What We Know About The Film
The official synopsis of “The Forgiven” reads, “Speeding through the Moroccan desert to attend an old friend’s lavish weekend party, wealthy Londoners David and Jo Henninger (Ralph Fiennes and Jessica Chastain) are involved in a tragic accident with a local teenage boy. Arriving late at the grand villa with the debauched party raging, the couple attempts to cover up the incident with the collusion of the local police. But when the boy’s father arrives seeking justice, the stage is set for a tension-filled culture clash in which David and Jo must come to terms with their fateful act and its shattering consequences.”
The film’s cast also includes Matt Smith, Ismael Kanater, Caleb Landry Jones, Abbey Lee, Saïd Taghmaoui and Christopher Abbott.
